I bought the T6 upgrade with the NAMM special code on the 18th Jan... They must have emailed prior to NAMM itself, I think that would be a bit mean to exclude those who want the update who jumped in early.paulbreeze wrote:We will see. I bougth it on jan. 23 ...Robert Randolph wrote:Should it? Because I bought it on the 17th during the namm special.
BTW, are you sure you bought it during NAMM (Anaheim January 21 – 24) ?

tbh the original website was much better, the current one is bad in every way imaginable and completely fails from an accessibility standpoint as well.skipscada wrote:It is striking how different the philosophy behind the website's design is so different from the software's. Clearly an error.Robert Randolph wrote:Man, trying to browse the website...
What a TERRIBLE website. Ugh. So difficult to find anything, a bunch of useless animations and eye candy. The start page is horrendous too.
This whole 'scroll hijacking' is terrible. Why does it need to take me a minute to scroll down to try and find out how much the software cost. Pageup/down don't work. Scrollbar doesn't work. Accessibility and usability nightmare.

I guess what they had is not compatible with the current interface, which now I have installed it is very beautiful indeed. Maybe they will upgrade the skin engine at some point? What I am more concerned about is there has been no progress with regard to plugin preset support which is still lamentable.whyterabbyt wrote:Whut? Have we had the color scheme system taken off us again?
For me just being able to have the browser on the right, which is where it should have been all along (as that is where you drag plugins to) is worth the upgrade. Hope they will add more LFO waveforms, and the ability to customise them would be best.

Their website is attempt to style over substance.

I love Ableton's website. Very cozy.TheoM wrote:tooneba wrote:worse than ableton's website?bungle wrote:combined with the fact that their website is probably the worst designed website i have seen in the last few years,
worse than ableton is not possible. I still can't understand to this day why they went from such a functional logic site to the latest disaster but more so, why thy are keeping it after so many years LOL!

Their previous website design was representing simple and logical philosophy of their software. The current one is like patchwork of html table tag contains arbitrary info here and there.TheoM wrote:tooneba wrote: worse than ableton's website?

I think we will look back at this new website design trend just like we look back at the clothes in the 80's. The only difference is that people in the 80's really liked the clothes. Just visited the site with an open mind and found myself scratching my head and getting frustrated. Not once was I focused on the content, but rather the white dots on the right and the fact my scroll wheel was not responsive. The wonderful thing about a website like this is that in a week's time that can be resolved. Hopefully they're reading this thread as I feel this will dominate the discussion.
Having said all of that, I was a Tracktion user way back in the day. Early days of KVR, when you would suggest a feature and a week later it would be in the newest build. What an exciting time that was. I'm not ready, nor have a need, to jump ship from Reaper, Logic and Live - yet, from what little I did get from the video, there's some nice features.

Why can't they just explain thing in words?
Why does everything need a f**king YouTube video these days?
The website is a shambles.
