I'd like to know what features are missing from Kontakt .... streaming across computers perhaps? but what else would it need to do that it can't do now?

Post

There's always something developers want... :)

Post

Well for starters, Kontakt could use a KOMPLETE overhaul of it's UI. :hihi:

Ditching the itsy-bitsy aliased font would be a good start.

FM X :hyper:

(NI doing a Microsoft and jumping from 8 to 10 )

FM 10 - sounds good :)

Post

FM-X already exists... in Yamaha Montage. Kind of a FS1R without formants.

A bit thin, innit? Without the Symphonic series in there in Ultimate, it's a tough sell. You can see why NI will wait for Kontakt 6.

Yea if the upgrade for K11U from K10U is $299 that IS a tough sell. If Kontakt 6 is there maybe not as hard.

I would still love to see their non Reaktor instruments updated but I am not sure if that will happen.

They always have released some new stuff along with the release of a new Komplete version. So I assume it pans out a little better than appears now. Plus Kontakt 6 is in beta apparently.

For me if Absynth is included I will SPEND the $300 from my K8. I skipped K9 and K10 as there was no Absynth and nothing else to really motive me to spend $300.

I will likely get K11 if Kontakt 6 and no Absynth is included as I will like to get my hands on Reaktor 6. And Battery 4 as an extra bonus. If a great piano library is included that will also motive me to buy.

To some degree Kontakt 6 must be improved in workflow and features to motivate me. If not the Reaktor 6 and Battery 4 is not enough for me to upgrade.

If there is a great upgrade to Ultimate promotion I will consider acquiring it.

Well...I suppose it could do the most fundamental thing that a sampler is supposed to do...

It could always sample
No auto tune...
