worse than ableton is not possible. I still can't understand to this day why they went from such a functional logic site to the latest disaster but more so, why thy are keeping it after so many years LOL!

This website is worse. Graphics don't load quickly, so not always easy to understand the purpose of scrolling down.

I hope they reconsider the site.

I just downloaded the T7 demo and am looking forward to working with it. I haven't been able to say that about quite a few DAW releases... I just hope it lives up to my expectations!

Best version of Trackion ever . I had to re find the key files to my Valhalla plugins but it so nicely laid out now . You can move the file browser left right top as well as open several file browsers . It looks really professional now in the GUI aesthetics . The marketplace tab opens with no windows errors now . Just seems smooth now . Now that website is beautiful but a hot mess at the same time . The setup and projects page is really well thought out . It's like a mix of Mulab , Tracktion , and StudioOne and a dash of Reaper . Nice job fellas .

The ones I could notice before I quickly uninstalled the demo were the annoying white noise bursts and also that I couldn't get any of my x64 plugins work on it. The latter happens because the demo installer is available as 32-bit only. Developer is working to change both of these things to provide users a better demo.

95% of the plugins I have installed on my PC are 64-bit and I would definitely want to try out how well they work in T7, and that was even before I read this thread.
I personally find it almost impossible to properly evaluate a DAW when it keeps torturing me with constant white noise bursts. I can handle noise with plugins that I might be demoing for anything between five to ten minutes but I have no patience for such things when I am demoing a DAW (knowing that it will surely take hours just to learn the basics and many days to see if it fits my workflow).

Anyways... it's nice to know that there will be an alternative demo method in the future, perhaps I will give it another try when it becomes available.

For those who came to this thread to hear actual thoughts or feedback on Tracktion 7, Ive been putting it through its paces for the better part of this afternoon so I can share some thoughts. As soon as I ran it for the first time, I couldn't help but notice this release just feels huge. What I mean is, that while I've always enjoyed its unique layout and workflow, Tracktion has always felt like a little brother to some of the "big boys" out there. This release is simply more polished, more focused, and every detail feels intentional and well thought out. Some of the little workflow additions feel much more useful this time around as well. The plugin organization alone is worth noting. Being a huge fan of Studio One 3, I was excited to see its improvements in its VST housekeeping but still there was still room to grow in its implementation. After re-organizing my plugins in Trackion tonight I feel like a DAW finally nailed it. The irony here is that plugin management was one of the areas where I felt Trackion was the most lacking in the past. Its been mentioned here a lot already but for those GUI freaks out there, you're in for a treat. Visual aesthetic is of course completely subjective and we're all aware of that by now(hopefully, anyway). That being said, Tracktion 7 is beautiful. I would generally include myself in the camp who prefers lighter interfaces (Reason 8, Studio1 2.5, etc), but these guys did it right. Ill try and post again after a week or two of use so I can hit on some of the smaller features for those thinking of trying it. I was just so impressed after only a few hours of use tonight I felt I needed to at least come share some of my enthusiasm. Nice job on this release guys, I have a feeling its going to be a big one for the company and I'll be fun to see where it goes from here.

I'm going to run the demo today as well, but would love to hear from other Mac'ers, as T6 demo and early T6 versions ran fine for me but it then disintegrated and it simply wouldn't stay alive for more than a minute at a time.

I really hope they finally nail stability with T7.

Thanks! I seen that purchase page initially but could not see the $30 upgrade option cause I was unable to scroll down for some reason. I had to undock my browser and put it in float-mode by minimizing it a little bit then I was able to scroll down and see the upgrade option. Thanks for the help in figuring it out!

no, it isn't - it doesn't scroll the page, as it should, instead it switches to a new page

and crtrl+scroll for zooming does not work either.

That website is pretty much broken.
