One of the most recommended synths to do an OSC, so this should be a fun month!

Want to try out your skills in other contests / competitions /challenges?
  • Indaba - Has a mix of popular and indie artists with various contests like remixing and song writing. Some people from OSC have had success here.
  • KVR Mix Challenge (see stickies) - Who can mix a song the best (Without adding extra recordings /musical additions)? Each person starts out with the same stems.
  • Music Cafe (KVR, see stickies) - A thematic monthly competition. Use recording, real instruments, synths and samples.
  • RemixComps - An aggregator for remix contests from a variety of artists and genres (mostly EDM) - indie and popular.
  • Soundevotion (SDCOMPO) Competition - Even longer running than the OSC, the SDCOMPO is even more niche in that you must use a tracker, and set of specific effects. Great community.
  • DiHalt Demoscene competitions

Now we're talkin!

Love this synth. Might actually do one

@bjporter

XHIP OSC website has a wrong link referring to Crisalys webpage. It is just after soundcloud playlist.

You may like to correct it...! :tu:

Thanks.

Hey all,

Got a suggestion ...of sorts.

Originally Xhip was to have embedded effects. It was later decided that external plugins would be more versatile and easier to manage when used for other tasks.

Just for this month ...maybe  ...just because they belong with the synth? They're pretty good.... Happy to put it to a vote if folks are keen.

Check 'em out here:

Could be ...but that just gives more weight to the argument that they can be used ...riiiiiiigt

Its seems the GUI size options are gone from the new version too & no double click reset knobs

I don't have those options. Is that an old version?

Also, I can't recall saved .adxi program files. It's like they partially load. I'm using the 32bit 7d version.

Hey bh, Yep. Have yet to use a synth for OSC that had different versions/features :wheee:

I think mine are recalling properly but it's early days and I'm still finding my way around. 64-bit ver here (7d).

Oh and make sure that you don't have the thing in "Drum Mode". Seems to ignore the Envelopes or something.
