Love this synth from first sight/listening! I did not know about Xhip before. Very interesting and powerfull, kind of "loud"!
I hope too, that we can use this effect set, which was intended for Xhip.

Be sure to test what parameters are saved and what are not, for me none of the effect and routings are saved with the track.

You're using an alpha version rather than the standard release. This doesn't even run for me. Could we all use the same synth please?ere2learn wrote:right click for size/left click for colour on logo

This is a development version which doesn't even start under WINE unlike the release version. In the interest of fairness, I strongly think entrants should be restricted to the release version and the alpha version should be prohibited.bjporter wrote:BrilliantI'll add that info

Maybe we can offer the older version with effects (unless i'm mistaken and that was alpha)?caonoize wrote:This is a development version which doesn't even start under WINE unlike the release version. That's the issue. Ere4learn's version was pulled off the alpha test page. If it weren't for the unlevel playing field aspect, I'd have no objections; I just want us all to start from the same place. I think that even without the new features, XHip should have plenty of power to keep the contestants busy.bjporter wrote: Maybe we can offer the older version with effects (unless i'm mistaken and that was alpha)?
/me wants to make pretty sounds and write some music rather than do politics.
Addendum: curiously enough, Linux VST is on the creator's TODO list, but it's not there yet. I'm definitely looking forward to that.

Edit: Nevermind, looks like we might have a solution
Alright let's do a vote. Next 15 people will decide it.
Pick ONE:
A: Only the non-alpha version (so no external xhip effects, and no alpha)
B: Allow Alpha Version and external Xhip effects
C: Allow external Xhip effects (no alpha)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll vote A

Or with Aciddoses permission i can upload some non-alpha version(s) with effects ?
There was a catastrophic HDD failure some months ago and some versions were lost, but i have many of them on my HDD.
