Hi Guys, i initially purchased zebra 2 and dark zebra plugins. I then ordered Cubase 8.5 which i received a week later. I'm a complete novice working on a project for a film and i need some guidance to get me up and running. Although i'm opening Cubase and then the VST plug in...i'm getting no sound when i select the track

Here's what i'm doing

1. Opening Cubase 8.5
2. Select "More"
3. Select "Create Empty"
4. Select "Add Instrument Track"
5. Select Drop down menu "Uhe" (note i retain the Stereo Out Option)
6. Select "Add Track"
7. Select "Patches"
8. Select "Leaders" as an example
9. Select "HS Bamboozle" (far right column)

The issue being is there is "No sound". I'm assuming i've done everything right and there seems to be an issue with the plug in. Please advise.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best Wishes Gareth

My experience is that Zebra and Zibra HZ are extremely robust - they will produce sound, no matter what.

My first suspect is that your VST-audio device mapping is not correct:
Do you get sound if you play some audiofile in Cubase?
Is Cubase receiving the MIDI - does the MIDI-indicator flash in Transport panel? - Does MIDI indicator flash in synth?
Do you get sound from other plugins? (You can try with some free ones)

In Cubase, on the left side, you have to make sure the track you are having MIDI inputs to also has the instrument you want to trigger. When you load Zebra, via the drop down or pressing F11, you can also have Cubase automatically create a track for that instrument. Look in the manual for information about it.and I think i's in the preferences menu. You can also create a MIDI track, and then load any of your VST instruments aand then in the drop down on the right, direct your controllers to play that instrument by loading it into that track.

Thanks to all for responding very helpful points. I've resolved the "synth" issue and have been busy recording. All sounds great and thanks again.
