Can't get MCompressor or MFlanger to crash T7 here despite fooling around with style and size. So I'm stumped.aMUSEd wrote:Yep, try it with a resize too, I think maybe that's what's triggering it.operandx wrote:Not seeing this here with registered free bundle (32 bit T7 on Win7). Have you got latest versions of Melda plugs?aMUSEd wrote:Melda plugins seem to crash it whenever I try and apply a new style.
Tracktion 7 now available!

What is the little camera icon on the handle bar of vst plugins? clicking it does nothing.
Also how do you move the browser to the right?
I imagine there's no manual as with previous versions, right?

It makes a thumbnail of the plugin for the visual browserurlwolf wrote:What is the little camera icon on the handle bar of vst plugins? clicking it does nothing.

You move the browser to the right by grabbing and dragging the little icon that shows and hides it
There is a T7 version of Bill Edstrom's guide in the works

In General Behaviour on the Settings page, there's an option to have the browser start at the left, right, or top. It's second from top in the lowest section of options and is called Side Panel Position.urlwolf wrote:What is the little camera icon on the handle bar of vst plugins? clicking it does nothing.

Managed to keep the Melda style editor open long enough to make a T7 theme - if anyone wants it I just submitted it to the online preset sharing thing - don't know how long it takes for shared presets to propagate but it's under SW in the colour schemes panel:

I like that Melda theme! That's nice. I'll check into your preset.

If it doesn't turn up in the browser its easy enough to recreate - only took a few mins to match the colours and tweak it to my likingclintmartin wrote:I like that Melda theme! That's nice. I'll check into your preset.

Having problems loading Slate Virtual Consoles/Mixrack - keep getting an error message saying it's missing some file (ECR or something).

Thank you! That worked and the plugins cleared the scan this time around.paulbreeze wrote:Delete the red disabled plugin(s) and do a scan for new or updated plugins.elxsound wrote:Does anyone know if there is a way to reinitiate the scan of just those "disabled" plugins?

All of my Melda plugins seem to work fine, but I can't get the Melda thumbnails at all. It would be nice if you could clear all thumbnails. The more I worked on those the more I wondered what the point of it is?
I haven't had any crashes, but I have had to re-start the audio engine a time or two.
From my experiences with new daw releases...this one has been pretty painless.

I downloaded the Biotek demo the other week. When I scanned for thumbnails, the one for Biotek was blank. I've Googled it and downloaded an image to the relevant folder and renamed it to what the blank one was. It now shows up in T7 when I right-click the plug-in add icon.clintmartin wrote:All of my Melda plugins seem to work fine, but I can't get the Melda thumbnails at all. This was on W10. If anyone wants to try it, the folder is
c:\users\borisblenkinsop\AppData\Roaming\Tracktion 4\Plugin Images\
They are all .png file. I altered the name of the Biotek one so it ended .pngx
I downloaded a non-blank image into the same folder. Handily it was a .png
I highlighted the blank one and pressed F2 (the rename shortcut). This highlighted the first part of the name.
I highlighted the downloaded one, pressed F2, and pasted over its name.
Deleted the blank one.
Opened T7 to verify.

There's a comment in the Tracktion forum that seems to be saying they'll put it back into V7 once they hammer out a few of the more complex features they're wanting to add.TheoM wrote:Has there been any word whether they are being stubborn about this or are open minded to the idea of putting the colour editor back in? All this darkness, bitwig, logic, tracktion - it's morbid and depressing to work with (and hurts my eyes).
Surely there must be consensus by now...
