You know what though......and I hate to be so negative......but who f...ing cares?
Really? People are so willing to be "no common sense" that they'll stick up for anyone? This is just part of the DAW problem, not "just some thing"
No 64 bit demo? Epic fail. No color schemes? Why?
We don't live in London in the "plague" times, why wouldn't a well known company, that knows it's user base not understand common sense issues?
If it was just T7, that would be one thing, but it's a shitty issue across the board from SO MANY companies. Not plug in companies......host companies. Hoping/praying/wishing for things to get better is idiotic (to be nice)
And the sheep clack their hooves!

Tracktion did not respond to my query, so will ask here.
Why doesn't T4 qualify for upgrade price? I got T3 bundled with something else years ago and the price they gave me for my upgrade is $30. Sounds good but why not T4?

But a lot of people bought T4 before it became free (and in doing so supported Tracktion when they relaunched) - shouldn't they also qualify for a discounted upgrade price (if they don't)?skipscada wrote:Because T4 is now free.Musical Gym wrote: Why doesn't T4 qualify for upgrade price?
If the OP upgraded T3 to T4, I don't see why he can't upgrade a paid T4 to T7.

Seems this can be easily rectified- since they would know when T4 was originally registered in a users account before going freeware. Maybe those affected should point this out.skipscada wrote:Because T4 is now free.Musical Gym wrote: Why doesn't T4 qualify for upgrade price?

So far, it feels more mature and more polished. I haven't used it enough to judge stability or bugs. I still miss a proper mixer.

As far as the icons... if you right click the + sign on the tab that's used to insert plug-ins (the one next to the red tab with a + sign on the upper right corner) it will open the icon list for plugs similar to FL studio. When you insert a plugin, it seems to take a pic automatically.urlwolf wrote:What is the little camera icon on the handle bar of vst plugins? clicking it does nothing.
Also how do you move the browser to the right?
I imagine there's no manual as with previous versions, right?

Traction 6 is as far as I go. The concept of not including a user/operating manual, then offering to SELL it to you, is a step too far past fair business practice for me. Then yesterday, I get the e-mail that the book is available hours before I get the e-mail that T7 is available! This is as classless an act as I have seen in a long time. I have been a faithful Tracktion user since I got T4 with a pair of Alesis monitors. Bought every new version but with the new strategy of charging for the user manual, it's time to find a new company that isn't in it for the quick buck, playing us for fools. If the user/operator manual isn't included with the product, time for someone else. Good bye Tracktion - it was fun for a few years.

OK, but T5 and T6 users have paid for other upgrades ($30? $30+$30?, dont remember), so deserve a lower price. Full price for T7 is $ 60, which equals the price of 2 upgrades, if I'm not mistaken. T4 still works, T7 is cheap.pc2000 wrote:Seems this can be easily rectified- since they would know when T4 was originally registered in a users account before going freeware. Lack of documentation is my main gripe, although this forum, videos and mouseover help go a long way. As for that book, I paid the absolute minimum without feeling guilty about it. Was it $12? Later I have tried to look up a couple of things and found that they're not mentioned, so I feel even less guilty.Tom Bastedo wrote:strategy of charging for the user manual, it's time to find a new company that isn't in it for the quick buck, playing us for fools.
A bit excessive, perhaps. Many here at the forum are willing to share their knowledge.Tom Bastedo wrote:If the user/operator manual isn't included with the product, time for someone else. Good bye Tracktion - it was fun for a few years.

Clack clack clack clack clack beh beh beh .... Lolz ... Presonus got thrown under the bus recently for there colors and there mixng engineers only update , Ableton Live and the everyone hates the new browser in 9 opposed to 8 . Reaper well they give you the option to figure or configure it out yourself , so everybody hates that it becuase there are too many options . Tracktion this aint the 1st time they've messed with the website , will say support fixed my issues with missing product downloads , not the 1st time they ommited the color editor only to bring it back in a point release , dont get the 32/64 demo thingy . Then you have Reason that has one color , no VST , that sells you Racks , instead of a better way to bridge a VST to there system . They could've made some sort of sandboxes VST bridge or something . Oh and ProTools they want you to rent there crap product .incubus wrote:
