I have been trying to find out what a base product is... I sent a message to NI with my list of software. I know I have additional licences. I know what I can transfer but nowhere do they tell me if I sell something am I getting rid of a something of which I have one copy.

If I upgrade to Komplete 10 Ultimate, which includes those three products, can I sell the previously-purchased individual product licenses?
TIA.
EDIT: Never mind, found it.

K10U is 440GB of UNCOMPRESSED data, but it's considerably smaller on your hard drive, and even smaller, still, for your installers, though it does come on an HDD, itself.kitekrazy wrote:You would download about 440gb. I don't like how NI does the new downloads.Uncle E wrote:No download for Komplete from us, unfortunately. NI doesn't give us much room to discount but I'll figure something out.

They mean, if you're upgrading to K10U from K10, you need to keep K10, or if you crossgraded to K10 from Kontakt, you need to keep Kontakt, even though it is included in K10. You need to keep whatever product allowed you the pricing you got on your next product, etc.

They used to give out vouchers like candy a few years back. Got a bunch of free mags that way. Then they dried up.
When the time came to subscribe to CM I got a better deal through Future's site and get my mags through Apple Newsstand.

I've been wondering about something like this lately. Can you "release" older Komplete upgrades from your account for resale so long as you keep at least one qualifying version? IIRC, Komplete upgrades are valid from Komplete 2 upwards.Scotty wrote:so how does it work if you upgraded repeatedly from komplete 5 to ultimtae 10 since version 5 ?
And if you can, is it possible to activate an upgrade version of Komplete that is older than the one you currently have? I ask because older versions have plugins that have been discontinued (like Pro-53 and Spektral Delay).

I crossgraded to Komplete (think it was K8, I've since gone to K9U) from Kontakt a while ago - at the time I had a license for Kontakt 4 and also the upgrade to Kontakt 5 - NI removed the Kontakt 5 Upgrade from my account, leaving me with Kontakt 4 to keep the crossgrade valid, and I gave the Kontakt 5 upgrade to a member here to use.
So, by that token, you could remove your K6U upgrade, your K7U upgrade etc. etc. up to your latest one from your account and sell the older upgrades (or maybe keep one of the relevant older ones too if you want Pro-53 etc), but I think from other members reports here, that it can all come down to who picks up your ticket at NI.
