So I want to change the initial preset that is loaded when Hive is opened. I searched the forums and saw some information about Diva saying that I may have to save my patch as "default.h2p" in the patches root folder? If this is true, where is the root folder (Mac)? If not, can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Post

1. Open a fresh instance of Hive
2. Click on Presets
3. Click on '0 User'
4. Select the '- INIT -" preset
5. Click on 'Local' to open the root folder.
6. In Hive, Click on 'Save'
7. Name the preset "default"

BTW:
8. Right-click on 'Local'
9. Select "reveal in Finder" (Mac) or "open in Explorer" (PC)
10. In Finder, double-click on 'Hive'
11. Read the manual :-)

Alright, I have one minor issue. For some reason, the "linked" parameter still shows up with my default preset, despite me saving it WITHOUT the linked feature.

Any ideas why this could be happening?

For whatever reason, I cannot get Hive to open with the linked feature OFF. It always seems to open with both sides linked, no matter what I do..

Hi fourthmanfire,
yes indeed, the LINK state isn't meant to be saved with each preset.

But you say LINK is always active when opening an instance?
Can you write to me at support[at]u-he.com and tell me a few details, i.e. what DAW you're using, what plug-in format (AU, VST, AAX) ?

Thanks,
Viktor

Done. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Shout out to Viktor at u-he for helping me out with this issue. Everything is resolved.

I've said it time and time again - I am so proud to be a u-he owner (Zebra2, Hive, for now) to know the support that is offered here on these forums. It is INVALUABLE to have Urs and Viktor and sascha and rob and Howard around when you've got something wonky. I appreciate it and the support (along with the quality vsts of course) has made me a loyal customer for life.

Thanks again.
