More specifically, what I'd like to do is record the previewing of samples in the percussion vst Poise in order to help the developer diagnose a problem I'm having with it. I'm getting little clicks and pops with the Poise previewer, but not in the MuLab previewer.

Yes in the project modular area you can use an Audio Recorder module to record everything that goes to audio output.

Thanks Jo. Lazy of me to ask on here without investigating first. I'm sure it's probably trivial, but audio recording is an area of MuLab I've not yet explored.

In fact MuLab for Windows also has a built-in movie recorder.
Here is the doc page:

Note that this integrated movie recorder not really regarded as an 'official' function cause it depends from system to system and codec to codec whether it works fine. But it surely doesn't hurt to give it a try.

Thats something I've wondered about for a while but not asked, will try it out.

That will be very useful for what I need to do. Thanks for pointing it out.

The MuVie worked fine. Just a small suggestion. Currently the movie files are automatically written the MuLab user directory which is in the MuLab app directory. I have my user directory on another disk, which is specified in the MuLab preferences as I like to keep writes to my ssd down to a minimum. It would be nice if the movie files were written there instead.

You're right, fixed that in M7.

On a side note, for those who want to watch video inside Mulab, google for mediavst.dll.
It works perfectly and movies are in sync with Mulab on my system. Some people say it doesn't work.
Give it a try.
