Unison index - does it work?

I've tried using Unison Index as a mod source, and can't get it to affect anything. Is it user error? Can someone send me a patch that uses Unison Index to do something? Can it only affect certain mod sources?

I am using version 2.7.6 in Cubase for Windows. Yes, I have turned up the Union in the layer to 2. At first I thought it was meant to work with the Voices count in the oscillator sections. Any other tips would be appreciated!
