Hello,

I get crackles in 50 % of patches I load.

when I load the Init patch the crackles come up with every keynote.

I can't beleave that my computer hardware is the "bottleneck"

My Computer:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 3,4 GHz
16 RAM
Win 7 Ultimate 64x
Studio One 3.2 Professional

Studio One shows harmless cpu usage.

I hope you can help

after uninstalling some old plugins the crackles have gone...

I'm looking forward to the licensed version of hive I get in a few days!

I own a Hive licence and it still crackles. The crackles appear only on the left side of the stereo field and only with certain presets. I sent u-he a support request. Is there anybody who has the same problem? CPU usage in Reaper shows roundabout 1% when this occurs... Even with the "recource hungry" Diva I dont have that. Hive is the only software synth I own where I have those issues.
It is also not a volume issue. I can put a limiter on the track or I can even pull down the internal volume knob of hive down to zero - the crackling still appears. Only when muting the track it disappears.

DCS, I have the same issue, left channel but only when I play midi; on playback its fine also if I use the soft keys on the Vsti its okay too. I have tried altering the midi buffer and ASIO buffer sizes but it still does it.

Hi Paul,

It turned out my soundcard caused the issue. I didnt update the driver when I installed it. I had no problems with the konfiguration until I installed Hive. After updating the driver (audient soundcard) the issue disappeared... So everything is fine now

DCS, that's great, really pleased for you but I have the latest drivers from Focusrite for my Scarlett 18i8 so that fix wont work for me. Bummer.

Try to increase buffer for you sound card. Maybe this help?

P.s. I had similar problem on my old comupter with if i am not wrong it was Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700.
I get crackles after about 60% of the CPU load which showed in Ableton Live 8 Intro.
So I guess it was CPU bottle neck.
