The installer has a bug, it shows a messagebox that the drive or UNC share is not accessible (which is of course not true). (Windows 10 x64)

Yeah it doesn't work on my Mac OSX 10.11.3 El Capitan, either; the error message is rather bizarre (needless to say Sylenth isn't already in use):
"The installation can not continue because Sylenth1 is in use.
Quit the following application, then run the installer again. If the problem persists, please restart your computer.
/Applications/Messages.app/Contents/MacOS/Messages"
I will send the message to the link above, but figured others on KVR might like to see what problems, specifically, people are having.

Just restart your Mac, or quit the process that it indicates!mholloway wrote:Yeah it doesn't work on my Mac OSX 10.11.3 El Capitan, either; the error message is rather bizarre (needless to say Sylenth isn't already in use):

Okay, so:
1. Restarting changed nothing -- the installer gives the same message.
2. I closed Messages (the Mac program) and ran the installer -- same error, but this time telling me to close iTunes. So, I close iTunes, run installer - same error again, but this time telling me I have to close Mail (?!). I close Mail, run it again -- NOW it installs.
So, it worked, but uh, why did I have to close Messages, Mail and iTunes? Not a big deal I guess, but also just not a problem I've ever run into before installing a soft synth! Other, non OSX specific programs were running (e.g. Chrome), so it seems the installer thinks that any OSX specific software is "using" Sylenth, based on the first line of the error message. Suffice to say I don't think Mail, iTunes or Messages were running Sylenth at the time!

Now, that's weird, but look at this:mholloway wrote:Yeah it doesn't work on my Mac OSX 10.11.3 El Capitan, either; the error message is rather bizarre (needless to say Sylenth isn't already in use):

/Applications/Spotify.app/Contents/MacOS/Spotify"
what the heck, folks?? what has an audio plugin software like sylenth to do with such totally different applications?? there's no real problem here as the installation went fine after quitting "Spotify" (still can't believe this...), but there's definitely something wrong with the installer and/or plugin itself...
EDIT: will send a separate message to you directly with the details
