Hey everyone. Took a several yr absence. I just reloaded T4 and trying to record midi from my Motif XF. T4 is receiving data on one track, but I have data on 9 tracks in the Motif, which each track assigned to Midi channels 1-9. I'm using USB out and settings on motif are correct.

I can't figure out, even with manual, how to set up the T4 to receive 9 tracks (or any number of tracks with data) from the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know if it applies to T4 (though I can't see why not), but some of the discussion in this recent thread might help you:

Appreciate the link. I did get something from that....I created 10 virtual midi channels and assigned to tracks in the edit page. I'm getting data from motif but it's still only coming in to the tracks where I've identified input as "motif xf7".

I'll keep tweaking. I have the correct drivers an all. Able to connect with audacity and melodyne standalone ok. I had this trouble 2-3 yrs ago when I bought this and got frustrated and scrapped. I wonder if an upgrade would be easier but I hate to dump more money in a product that may not work.
Checked YouTube videos but nothing related to this.

On the Settings page, under MIDI Devices (or whatever its name is), if you highlight a MIDI input in its properties, Enable End-To-End perhaps ought to be set. I don't recall the default, but it might be worth checking.

I will check that out. Many thanks and I'll report back.

Not sure if this will help ... under the "midi devices" entry on the settings tab you can "create new virtual midi input" and give it a name. Hit return and highlight it in the list and define the Motif as the midi input and choose the midi channel in the info pane. Make several of these, assign the different midi channels, then drag each to a track, enable record for all of them, and give it a go...

Not sure it will work but may be worth a try.....
