Are you talking about a drumloop. Then you can perfectly stay at 105 bpm. Just slice the drum loop into a sliced sequence part.
See http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... mples.html

no not a drum loop lets say a bongo loop and if i didnt want to slice it tempo 105 and bongo 115 bpm then it goes out of sync and when you slice a loop up and change the tempo wot you get is glitching

You can also set an external audio editor and time-stretch the file in this editor.
But I must admit that Mulab is poor in the Audio area, no time-stretching, no pitch-shifting, no audio warp, and so on...
Another thing that is lacking is being able to record directly a sample where you need it (a sample player device for instance), and a loop editor to set loop points for a sample.
The little 6$ Android app Caustic has a very capable sample editor (with all the essential tools, including noise reduction) and loop editor, and will have soon TS and PS in version 3.2, so why not Mulab ?

That's very slicable too, so you can easily get it to play at any tempo.runaudio wrote:no not a drum loop lets say a bongo loop

Well, to be honest, I was considering to switch from Presonus Studio One to Mulab but the lack of audio features still prevents me from doing so.
I'd like to know if a time stretching/pitch shifting engine needs to be licensed and if yes - what does it cost? May be Mulab would be much more expensive if a licensed time stretching feature would be implemented.

@pquenin ~
Caustic is great, until I installed it onto my laptop and it blew one of its speakers just playing the demo!

I think what's being referred to is something like Roland's Variphrase technology. Where you simply drop a loop in and it plays at the current tempo without changing pitch.

The only thing i can say at this point in time is that it is on the wishlist but not yet for M7.0 otherwise the release of M7.0 would be seriously delayed and i don't think that's a good idea. Better to go step by step. First it will still take some time before M7.0 can be released. The faster all bugs & bottlenecks are spotted, the faster i can fix & polish M7.0, the faster it can be released.
Oh and pls don't underestimate the power of slicing!
Sometimes/often slicing is better than timestretching, especially for drum/percussion loops.

Feel free to describe in detail how you would like to see timestretching implemented in MuLab. Pls visualize it by posting mockups.
