Routing a VST instrument to play back recorded midi tracks

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Thanks for having me. I don't know much about using VST instruments. I arrange music (mostly jazz) on Finale and output to midi, then output to audio with Adobe Audition. Right now I'm trying to use Cubase to record a VST instrument in place of the grand piano soundfont I have in my sound font bank manager. I have set up the VST on a separate midi track, but how do I route channel one - the 2 recorded piano tracks - thru the VST and out to save? This probably seems elementary to most people, but I don't have any experience with this at all. Some help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Mike.

I think you are in the wrong forum.

You might also want to put a reference to cubase in your subject line as people on these forums use many different hosts, so that'll help the people who can help you spot your thread more easily.

I can't help but add:
In Tracktion, you just drop it into the MIDI track in question and you're off to the races.

Okay, I posted this on another bulletin, here on this website. Can I get the Administrator to remove it from here? I don't want to cause any trouble here.
Thanks.

Hey Mike,
No trouble was caused.
We're being jolly, in case you couldn't tell. <chuckle>
