  • The ability to turn off Panel Animations.
    - It would make Tracktion seem snappier.
  • Add a 'back' button or something to the 'View Source Info' panel reached via the bottom clip properties area.
    - Otherwise you have to find the clip you were viewing in the project and click it again to get back to the clip properties!
  • An option to spread out stereo channel display so both channels can be seen individually always.
    - An example of how difficult it can be to edit a stereo file. Image
  • Add a search command to the keyboard shortcuts settings page.
  • Option to turn off clip names on clips.
    - It both adds visual clutter and makes it difficult to edge trim the start of clips when they are at a low-zoom level.
    ++ Added in 7.0.27!
  • Make record arm work for all selected tracks.
    - This would allow you to maintain input assignments across a project and quickly record arm sections you want.
    - Also perhaps add an option to record arm all tracks in a folder.
    - Alternatively add a macro command to record arm a track.
  • Allow the "Treat as Stereo Channel Pair" to start on even numbered inputs.
  • Make it so that "Treat as Stereo Channel Pair" does not 'consume' inputs.
    - E.G. allow 1+2 to exist as a stereo channel AND for 1 and 2 to exist as mono inputs if desired.
  • Make folder track VCA automation animate the folder track's children's Volume slider.
    - Right now it's very confusing when VCA automation is going on and there's no indication of it!
  • Add VCA coalesce function.
    - This function would scale all folder track's volume automation by the folder track's VCA automation (adds them together), then delete the VCA automation.
  • Selecting a track in the "Tracks" tab of the sidepanel should select that track.
  • A search feature for tracks would be extremely useful!
    - A way to search for tracks by their name, clips, plugins etc...
    - Also a way to select them via that information, select all except, add to selection etc..
  • Click track routing to a send bus or track.
    - Sometimes compression or reverb (or delay!) on the click can be extremely useful. It would be great if you could assign the click's output to an Aux Send bus or to a Track.
  • Sample & Hold LFO
  • Higher LFO frequency values
  • Use Aux Bus as LFO source.
  • Device to mix LFO signals
  • Device to split LFO signals to multiple targets
  • Allow LFOs to target LFO controls.
  • Device to intercept and scale LFO signals.
    - Would be necessary to properly use the mix/split idea.
  • Make tagged plugins show up alphabetically in the plugin selector menu?
Bolded items make Tracktion rather annoying for me to use.

Alright, that's enough for now :)

Is one of those like allowing an LFO to work on another LFO?
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

Track visualization groups would be helpful
- This would be a way to group tracks so they could be easily exclusively displayed
-- Being able to turn on/off groups, display or hide multiple groups as needed would be extremely useful.
This already exists, doesn't it? It's been there since at least V6 ...

I will investigate this, maybe I overlooked it.

If it's there I will remove it from the OP.

Thank you!

Go to the side panel, the Tracks section, and you can show or hide individual tracks in T7. If you tag the tracks (eg, call some "guitars" or "vocals" or whatever) you can then show or hide the tracks by their tags (hide all the guitars, etc)

Oh, fantastic. That works great. That is actually about on-par with what I'm used to in DP9 in terms of usability.

(This is why we need a proper manual damnit!)

edit: I updated the OP to remove that request.

The one I saw in a video the other day that made me go "eh?", was somebody moving warp time markers on the clip in the arrange window ... when did that become a thing?

I thought you had to do it in the little properties window at the bottom, but it now seems to be done in the main view. Which is MILES better. Must have missed that being anounced

You can add warp time as a clip effect now in T7.

That's great though, you should make a bigger deal of that. Much better for lining up downbeats or whatever with the rest of the tune

Would it be possible to have tagged plugins show up alphabetically in the plugin selector menu? Thanks.
edit: Reordering the plugin names in the settings windows also reorders them in the selector menu.

Well hey, one of my requests was added!

-Added view options to hide clip names and MIDI CC lines

The smallest one, but it's something.

I love the suggestions! Just about everyone of them would be great additions to the program.
