Hi folks,

next update is here ;). 9.19 is an important update and comes with several new improvements, features and some fixes. It is recommended to install this update. To do that, get the newest version from MeldaProduction download page and use it.

Additionally MUnison, a unique doubler / unison / smart harmonizer, has been released. It is free for MTotalBundle, MCreativeBundle and MMixingBundle users and now available for an introductory price. It has been added to MXXX and MPowerSynth as well.

Hello,

According to the release notes, certain changes have been made that are not backwards compatible, but it seems that this latest version uses the same plugin ID's as before so you can't have the older version and new version installed at the same time. Is this correct? So if I load an old project and have problems with the automation, for example, I will have to reinstall 9.18? And then when I start a new project I will have to reinstall 9.19? Of course I want to use the latest and greatest versions when possible..

Vojtech, typically when a new version is no longer backward compatible, developers change the plugin ID so you can use both versions. Did you not do it this way by choice?

Thanks! Looking forward to trying out MUnison

When doing an update, or installing new plugins, should one run the uninstaller first? Or just the new installer on top of the old and chose the new plugin you want to install/update?

Can the PDF collection (PDFDocumentations.zip) be updated too?

And please reinstate the page with links to all the PDFs on it

Damn, I thought I had tested this in the Beta - automating multi parameter macros is still broken in Logic 10.2.2 in 9.19, the only way to automate these is to draw things with the mouse or assign an external controller.

//One little addition, to reduce the need for small-fix releases interfering with major ones.
Why not have 9.19b 9.19c etc. in case a fix comes too close an issued release? This way users would know if they have the fixed version installed. Late updaters will install the latest version available. Users to whom the fix is not relevant could skip updating ...plus developer anxiety with new releases would diminish

pheleep: The backward compatibility issue is very rare, so it wouldn't make sense. Well, the solution you proposed wouldn't make sense at all to me anyway. It would basically force people to use the old version, it's just plain wrong.

DarkStar: Yeah, when time allows :).

sampleconstruct: I'll check it out!

Nspace: Sure, when it is necessary.

Hmm... My solution would force people to use the old version only in projects that were saved using the older version. Everything would still sound the same when they loaded those projects. I just hope there won't be a backlash doing it the current way. Folks open an old project and some stuff doesn't work as expected (automation) and then you have to fix everything manually if you are lucky to remember exactly what you did. This sounds worse to me, but maybe that's just me. Anyway, not trying to make a big deal out of this but It's a little scary..

Don't worry ;). This would happen only if you'd do something quite unexpected ;).

Not sure if anyone else has this problem but I'm getting crashes to desktop when using the "Random ALL" button on the initial presets page in MXXX 9.19.
I've had it happen with both VST and AU in Ableton Live (both latest stable and beta) and Tracktion 6.2.1 on two different computers running OSX 10.10.5.
It seems to work fine if I change to EDIT mode before hitting Random and the other Random functional all seem to work OK. So far it doesn't seem to affect any other Melda plugin.
I'm going to download 9.20 and see if there is a difference.

Hmm, I didn't hear about that. Please check 9.20 and if it won't help, send me a crash log to info@meldaproduction.com
