Question About MUX Preset Portability

I am considering making a sound library for MUX. My question is this. If I create presets that utilize custom samples that I've created, are the samples saved within the preset or do I have to include them in a folder so that the preset can reference it when ported to another computer?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If I remember well, there is an "embed" option in the context menu if you are on a opened sample.
You can also put a folder to put your samples "under" the folder where your preset file lies, so the linked sample will be adressed with a relative path...
Humm, not sure that my english is good enought, hope you understand why I'm trying to say...

Thanks. Maybe a clarification from the developer will help.pquenin wrote:If I remember well, there is an "embed" option in the context menu if you are on a opened sample.

Okay, so it appears that you can't embed the files in the patch and have to include them in a folder and provide that folder to the user along with the presets.
If I'm reading the manual correctly.

Re-read this thread that you started on this same subject last July. The developer answers you in the last post:wagtunes wrote:If I'm reading the manual correctly.

Thanks. The joys of getting old. I don't even remember creating this thread. As I am now finally working on this, I won't forget this time as I'll be doing it.Michael L wrote:Re-read this thread that you started on this same subject last July. No, please. Just read the manual first (and right-click in MuLab to read even more info in the many context menus)wagtunes wrote:I need a keeper.

The recommended way definitely is using a sub-folder in the folder you're storing the .Mux preset files, best before saving the .Mux preset file as then a relative path to that sub-folder is used. That makes it easy to move the preset file(s) + sub-folder to another location. Chance is very high that the 'embed' feature for samples will be removed, thus always relying on linking to a sub-folder. If any questions left, let me know.
