This layout would get my vote anytime
One thing I left out of the mockup was moving the patch buttons to the top centre next to the patch window and then move the filter section down.
That would seal the deal if you can somehow reposition the feedback field from being in between the two filters to the top and change the size to a more balanced dimension in comparison to all the other fields.
It's huge! :dog:

I auditioned this for a few minutes tonight and wasn't getting any straight chromatic patches out of it. They all seem detuned on some level, even the init patch and even when I retuned the osc to 0.

I prefer the current layout, this looks imbalanced to me.

I assume this was in Logic X - in 9 out of 10 cases ArcSyn does not work properly/at all in Logic X, it works fine in Logic 9 and the vst is fine too, as Steven - the developer - announced, he is working on a new AU version which will eventually work in Logic X.

@ fceramic: No, I would not move the patch name window (if that's what you are referring). That would destry the balance of the layout, IMO.
@ liquidsound: Yes, maybe the feedback field could be moved to the top centre of the window.
@ aMUSEd: What would happen to the other colours if everybody just like the blue?

A balanced UI comes from the design, but you can't just shuffle elements around - elements that belong together should be in the same section it's that simple. Having the patch buttons completely separate from the patch window and the mod matrix on the opposite side of the mod sources is just bad design. First get the layout right and then you can tweak the elements to make it look balanced.

am on logic X (10.2.2) and os x 10.11.4 (pb7), and no issues. it works, i make music.
where did you get the '9 out of 10' number? a poll of 10 people you personally know who use logic & tried arcysn? :D

anyway, your mileage may vary. but arcsyn seems fine here (which is why i bought it). 8)

I got this directly from the dev with whom I have been communicating about this issue over the last weeks, here on Yosemite and Logic X it mostly doesn't work, so I'm glad for you but I don't make things like this up for fun...I can only use ArcSyn reliably in Cubase 8 atm.

Page 18 of this thread, the dev wrote:
The last item was the one that took most of the time - I kept unearthing minor flaws and had some very good suggestions put to me while trying to track down the main issue ArcSyn has on the Mac. (Which I'm still working on I'm afraid.) I've tried to fix everything that's been mentioned on here, including the clicking mono chorus, the out-of-tune sub-octave oscillator waveform and so on. Hopefully I haven't missed anything.
He is recoding the plugin so it recalls presets correctly in Logic X - in most cases they don't recall or sound totally borked - as Apple totally changed something in this version - I use 10.2.2 - in Logic 9 everything recalls and plays correctly. He said there was a chunk of code in the presets which confuses Logic X but is ignored by the vst version.

i don't see '9 out of 10'... :D anyway, the version i purchased 2 days ago works (so far, i need to dig in deeper this weekend). in fact, i made an 'all arcsyn' piece, saved it, came back to logic later that day, opened it...and everything was as i left it. so this latest version, here at least, is working in LX 10.2.2...

LOL, what are you trying to prove to me, be happy if your version works and then the dev can fix it for the rest of us.
