I'm definitely looking forward to Geist 2. Especially if I can adjust the size of the screen and browser. The bigger the better.

I've never used Guru/Geist before.. but I've always observed it's progress as I'm always looking for a good drum machine/sampler. I read through most of the pages here, but I just wanted to confirm that Geist 2 would be able to slice to more than 16 pads?

This was a big thing that has held me from Geist, as I still use Phatmatik Pro for slicing because it's just easy. I know Geist trumps that old discontinued program, but I'm looking for a similar workflow with a sequencer+synth capabilities and Geist is the only thing that is in the neighborhood (that isn't a full blown sampler with a lot of workarounds "Kontakt, Falcon, Mach5, Halion"). Maybe Maschine or Akai Renaissance would have a similar workflow, but I'm not trying to buy a full on system.

I just bought Geist. Fairly easy to get started with and it's intuitive. 99 USD is an attractive price so I could not resist. Question is if I was too much in a hurry because some times can a discounted price + discounted upgrade price = more expensive than buying the new upgraded version at original price.

Yes,this you can do

Nah, stay in your lane. 16 [pads is MORE than enough drum sounds in a kit. Battery does the 50 gazillion pads thing, let them have it. Personally ,it's rare that I use more than 7 drum sounds in a song. 16 pads is fine.

Fix the pitch issues so I can pitch up or down any pad as much as I want. Update the GUI and workflow.

Also THANK YOU for making such awesome software in the first place. And thank you for updating it!

I would definitely agree with you for using just drums, Realizm, however I like to use samples of songs for my personal music. Having each slice with its own setting comes as an advantage for my usage.
