what i'm really after: what issues are you having? am going to work with the plugin this weekend, and will report to the developer anything odd or problematic that i come across. so i honestly want to know what you're experiencing. thanks!

I just wrote that on the last page -> presets don't recall correctly and mostly produce garbled sound or no sound at all, so you make a patch and open it an hour later in a new project and it sounds like from outer space in a very bad way, if you hear anything at all.

thanks, will investigate, as i'm already incorporating arcsyn into real work, and would not be happy to experience that...

Even though the sound had me wanting to experiment, the issue(s) I reported above immediately had me removing it from my song. Kudos for dev for a generous demo that users can take their time auditioning. No fan of stingy 7-day demo versions of complex synth(s) that hardly give you a chance to experience them hands-on.

+1
if that dev had a less regressive demo policy, there's a damn good chance i'd own that plugin. i want to like the plugin, i am already primed for a purchase, but I haven't had a chance to demo yet. a 7 day demo license for me, is effectively a one - maybe two day license... i.e free time at the weekend, when my music making takes place these days (see: life). so i'm waiting until i've got sufficient time off until I give that demo a whirl.

Post

i don't think there's a demo limit (i already bought it after a day). musical gym's comment is "Kudos for dev for a generous demo that users can take their time auditioning" (then goes on to say he/she's not a fan of 7-day demos).

just mentioning.

Didn't mean to derail the thread...I just wished Arcsyn was "dressed" as nicely.

:)

I must like Arc since both the demo noise and the GUI are growing on me....a little like mold on cheddar.

re: 7 day demo: he's talking about a different plugin, a different developer, and a different demo policy. compare and contrast. arcsyn demo policy = good. 7 day demo policy for a esoteric/complex synth = bad.

ArcSyn sounds really fantastic... but hell, the GUI is so workflow and fun killing that i won't use it.
With a great GUI it would be so much better.
Plugmon showed me how to make a GUI which feels like a major upgrade with the Zebra 2 and HZ massive modular.
Arcsyn is sadly not usable for me on my notebook.
It's possible of course but the GUI.....no way.
But just my worthless 2 cents.

am not crazy about the GUI, but more on an aesthetic level than a functional one. why can't you use it on your notebook? (am on a 13" macbook pro, and works well here)...
