Me neither.
I don't either...

Sorry Layzer/fisherKing....

Wasn't, my point wasn't to flat out criticize, but just pointing out that what you guys have done, I don't believe really addresses the problems with the UI.

Again, I don't have an issue with it to the point that I need to create a pole and a separate thread, as I'm going to be buying this, but all the same, I really wish there were some tweaks to make this easier on the eyes to use it quickly.

For me, its the font, its the borders around the sliders and around the knob indicators, its the yellow on grey (which does look better against the blue). Yes, there's the size issue too, but I'm on Mac and I've learned to live with Option+Command+8 to zoom in. Still for a new synth, it would be great if user definable sizes were taken in to consideration.

and if it ia going to be small, then the colors and contrast and legibility are all the more important!

i totally hear you, i just tweaked the background a little, to make it a little better...for me (brighter clearer works for me). not much of a fix, but enough for now.

size tho seems good here (on a 13" macbook pro)...

hey no prob. its good hawkeyed observations like that that helped me
design the GUI for OBXD. this is a wip and i'll probably work more during the next trip through the automatic car wash. this is a great synth and i think a light skinned version should exist.

thanks again! :)

Haha :D I pretty much like the bass there, I'm a fan of these kind of sounds!

If the dev would just come out and confirm this then a lot of the debate here would end - except for when it'll be finished

But will it sound as unique with the new gui? ;)

i knocked this out just to try out the synth, and steven posted it... so, all arcsyn presets (except the drums that come in halfway).

I assume this was in Logic X - in 9 out of 10 cases ArcSyn does not work properly/at all in Logic X, it works fine in Logic 9 and the vst is fine too, as Steven - the developer - announced, he is working on a new AU version which will eventually work in Logic X.
am on logic X (10.2.2) and os x 10.11.4 (pb7), and no issues. it works, i make music.
where did you get the '9 out of 10' number? a poll of 10 people you personally know who use logic & tried arcysn? :D

anyway, your mileage may vary. but arcsyn seems fine here (which is why i bought it). 8)
I got this directly from the dev with whom I have been communicating about this issue over the last weeks, here on Yosemite and Logic X it mostly doesn't work, so I'm glad for you but I don't make things like this up for fun...I can only use ArcSyn reliably in Cubase 8 atm.
he said "9 out of 10 people"? anyway...what happens? i installed it, it validated, and worked 'out of the box'. just wondering what issues you're having. what version LX are u running?
Page 18 of this thread, the dev wrote:
The last item was the one that took most of the time - I kept unearthing minor flaws and had some very good suggestions put to me while trying to track down the main issue ArcSyn has on the Mac. (Which I'm still working on I'm afraid.) I've tried to fix everything that's been mentioned on here, including the clicking mono chorus, the out-of-tune sub-octave oscillator waveform and so on. Hopefully I haven't missed anything.
He is recoding the plugin so it recalls presets correctly in Logic X - in most cases they don't recall or sound totally borked - as Apple totally changed something in this version - I use 10.2.2 - in Logic 9 everything recalls and plays correctly. He said there was a chunk of code in the presets which confuses Logic X but is ignored by the vst version.
So apparently there was a communication error - I was still using the latest Beta before version 1.3 was released, after communicating with Steven from SPC again today, he told me, the Logic issue had been fixed in the 1.3 release, I just installed it and so far all presets recall correctly and everything seems fine. Bye bye Cubase 8, back to Logic X

I spoke too soon, still issues here, LogicX crashes now and then related to ArcSyn and notes get stuck, it's not really fixed, but presets play fine.

wonder what the differences are in our setups; have not had any logic crashes (but i did have one stuck note). perhaps uninstall/reinstall arcsyn...

You run on a different OS no? Maybe it's Yosemite related (which I don't assume). Steven is currently investigating - throughout the Beta testing I (re)-installed numerous times, exchanging/replacing AU/VST components, it's got nothing to do with that.

Post

if steven's sorting thru the crashlogs, should be fixable. only spire sometimes crashes logic for me... but i agree, probably not the OS.

Very nice. Loved the arps and pads. How is ArcSyn in bass department? Cannot demo it for now, so thought I will just ask :-)

i need to explore it a lot more, but def potential in the bottom end...used a subbase sound, no real 'character' for that bass.

arcsyn is not a bread&butter synth, but...that's good, am bored with the usual. it's def got it's own flavor...
