I agree. But I doubt he's going to plow through all these posts, especially with all the endless GUI rants (or I am confusing this with a different thread?). The new GUI was just a holdover patch until he can do it the way he intends, but...haters gonna hate. I do think this GUI issue has been blown WAAAY out of proportion! I agree it's not the prettiest ever, but very acceptable, for now.

Indeed. I kinda like the GUI...and actually don't even notice it when I "get to work." It's rather secondary. I really enjoy this synth (demoing it) and will be buying it - even with no future GUI makeover, as soon as my wife gives the financial thumbs up.

Well, it solves one problem I'm having with it. The fonts are nice and clear and easy to read. Mod Matrix is still too small and the general layout of the synth is too chaotic. To me, nothing is where it belongs.

But this skin would bring me closer to buying it if not push me over the edge to do so.

thanks Wags, unfortunately i can only manipulate colors and some controls.
it works for me and i'm sure for a small group of others that like a lighter tone.

Yeah, the tone is great. Crystal clear. I do understand that there is only so much that you can do and what you've done is a major improvement. Like I said, I'm closer to getting it IF I can actually get my hands on this skin and it actually works with the plug.

not a fan of the colour scheme, and the sliders lack the pixel perfect precision of the originals... but i definitely support the idea of skinnable plugins that allow users to easily share skins amongst themselves, so you get a +1 from me just for that reason.

colour scheme is subjective, but I can't see the dev being too happy about the sliders you've chosen - I'm certainly not anyway. I like the slider paradigm as it is.

the pixel perfection is the same as the original, that last full screen pic is shrunk by the forum, here it is as it really is:

as i said "a small group of those that like a lighter tone"

as far as the colors, well... yellow isnt exactly my favorite but i wanted to keep
some aspect of the original.

I'll tell you, as great a synth as this is sound wise, this is a perfect opportunity for the guy who did the skins for Zebra 2 to make some more money creating a killer skin for this one.

It deserves it.

Question, is it just me or is the volume on this synth very low? There's no main volume control that I can find and the volume of a pure osc registers like -20 db.

This synth is so deep it's crying out for someone like Dan Worrell or Skippy (Plugin Guru) to do a really in-depth 30-minute video going into some of the features.
