Hi.

Say I want to delete Bars 13 - 17 in their entirety and have the gap closed so the song continies. How do I do that? I didn't see anything in Bill's book, nor online in various videos.

Sorry if I am missing something obvious....

Set the in maker on 13 and the out on 17. Select the clips you want to delete and close the gap to. In the properties tab you will see (delete) select it and you will see the option you are looking for. :tu:

Thank you. At first that didn't work. I set the in/out points, selected the CLIPS I wanted to delete, then chose the option to "delete marked region and move up clips". Those regions were deleted and the clips on the tracks of the deleted clips moved up, but other tracks and the marker track remained unchanged.

Then I tried it by setting the in / out points, then selecting ALL TRACKS. The properties tabbed for the selected objects showed "delete marked region" and in there I then chose "delete marked region of all tracks and close gaps". BINGO. Worked like a charm.

Thanks again!
