Has anyone tried http://www.meterplugs.com/dynameter
?
I like this approach more than any other: ''PSR'' (peak to *short-term* ratio) and the way it is represented. ''Dynamics'' vs Loudness, which is more in phase with our own experience of music
Is there a way to configure MLoudnessAnalyzer to get similar results? Or will Melda bring this kind of plug (with color (red-blue-yellow) changing depending on target?)). It is a lot more convenient than plain short-term bar and waveform analysis.
I know some of you are disgusted by the ''visual aspect'' in mixing, and always praising ''use your ear'' etc. etc.; but I think most of us can make the ''back-and-forth'' approach between visual and ear, and the Dynameter help to ''feel'' whats happening in the mix which I think is really helpful to get ''anti-loudness war'' mixes.
oh best of all: ''history'' **in color** to track where you could compress less.
What do you think?
Don't want to start another thread on loudness but:

++++++1 on this request...I really appreciate what I.S. has to contribute on the whole subject/dilemma of "loudness" and would really appreciate the additional analysis/display of the same information in MA as well.../s~

I'll check the plugin, but I'm not really sure what you guys actually want
. Seems like you just us to clone something for free again
.
