Actually there's great thread about it in DSP forum, it's equally their fault too, their OS X coding skills and ability to quickly fix what is broken, they do have beta releases, yet some fail to deliver anyways. Sorry, but it's their job to support their customers too, easiest thing is to just blame Apple for it, but in reality, they aren't that innocent either, they know the drill and yet they fail again, far away from coincidence, there's new OS version every year with developers pre-releases. I'll stick to not cutting off my own dick, and putting up with the few bugs I get with FLS12.
I have had instances where I can't open the project files. It's annoying because the problem doesn't show up until you save and try top reload - so you can spend a lot of time and do a lot of work that ultimately gets lost. Turned out to always be certain plugins in use in those projects, so I stopped using those plugins in FLS. Solved. Not the best solution, as it stopped me using a plugin or two - both 32bit SynthEdit freebie type things, but better than having to fork out for another DAW (or go through the learning curve again).
I get less problems in 12 than I did with previous versions, but I've also gone through a "cleanup" of the plugins I use (since I found I wasn't using a lot of them, and don't like clutter for the sake of it). Consequently I tend to use native 64bit plugs mostly now. Maybe that's why it's more stable for me now? Anyway - worth doing some dummy projects with some plugins in to see if it's just certain ones causing the problem, or across the board. There are options for processing available for plugins, so if you can identify a problem plugin then you might be able to tweak how it's used by FLS and get it working. Didn't work for my two ofending plugins, but again - worth a try maybe?

I would rather say most plugins have specific platform issues. Unless i get you wrong. Most changelogs list the fixes for the respective OS's.TheoM wrote: VERY few plugins have specific "platform issues".

Not entirely sure what fantasy land some of these people live in, I use WIndows Linux and OSX, and there is no damn way that any is any better than any of the others overall, if you have convinced yourself of that it is because you are completely blinkered and have literally no idea what you are talking about, this idea that OSX is sooooo much better than Windows is so laughable it is unbelievable.

I agree for Windows and MacOS, but Linux sucks big time, sorry. Every time i only look at it, it enriches my life with another bug to fix.
