This is something I haven't seen before I would find useful. When recording guitar parts and vocal parts, I tend to take many takes, but keep all my previous ones as well in case they turn out to be best. It would be good if on a clip I could select from a drop down list all the takes of that section and pick one. I would also like to be able to record multiple takes using looping, without stopping. Finally, I'd also like to be able to do this using midi clips too.

FWIW: Acid has this kind of thing and I really like it.
