Pitching quality compared to TC helicon & others

Hi! I just compared different pitching possibilities I had in my plugin arsenal and think that Melda is really good sounding, but I allways ask myself how TC-helicon achieves it's fantastic sounding pitch-shifting. I have a h1 harmonizer and the results are simply stunning in terms of speed & quality. Is it better to have a dedicated processor rather than a computer cpu? or did they simply find the holy grail for pitchshifting. I also like the octaves produced in my guitar foodstomp from Boss (ME50). I love the possibility to just go an octave down with very little latency...

Maybe Melda will get there, or are they & I didn't get it?

The best pitch shifting I've heard is iZotopes.
I guess it's the algorithm that makes the difference.
