Hi there,

I like MCompare. Most important is to be able to work quickly, and you can switch quickly between sources, thats very good.

However changing the selected range is slow, you have to move the mouse over each range border, grab it and drag it to a new position. This takes time. I would prefer if one could just "draw" a new range by clicking on the desired new left position, holding and dragging the mouse until the desired new right position, and that's it. E.g. in Cubase you can draw the locator range like this when clicking on the topmost bar ruler, or you can draw markers like this when holding Alt + Shift.

So my feature request is to have this easy and quick range selection procedure in MCompare.
I don't mind whether this would just be default behaviour when clicking on the waveform display, or whether there is a special bar for this, or whether you need to click Shift or something. Anything would do, and it would really speed up working even more

PS: when I add another slot, the window resizes itself to minimum width. That's kind of odd. Bug report I guess

Also it would be cool if one could reorder slots (by drag and drop or by some reordering menu like for multiparams)

While I'm requesting...

Could the slots be made flexible, so that I can decide for each slot whether it should be DAW or file source (instead of having a fixed number for each of them)? This way I could use all the space more efficiently.

Additionally, an (alternative) more narrow layout of slots would be cool. So the slots would look more like mixer channels. You could even have all of them in one row? The thing is, I have some space left vertically, but when I have 8 source the plugin is horizontally all over the screen so my whole DAW is hidden

Hehe seems like I'm going to give you so many NOs .

1) Interval - I actually like it the way it is, it's much safer. Not mentioning I have too many on the plate for something like that .

2) Change count -> resize - well, let's just say it is like that .

3) Reorder / change slot type - absolutely not, sorry.

4) More narrow - well, I could be cool, but I have no idea how ...

Please, give me at least one yes! The range selection is my most important one. It would be safe if it would be with held Ctrl key or Shift key or something. It would really speed up range selection a lot.
