Thanks - April 1st is the target as announced, I can see the finishing line with about 20+ patches to make, the deeper I get into ArcSyn the more I want to make - but there are parallel projects (e.g. a new library of Falcon sounds I'm doing for UVI) so I need to manage my time and not get all lost in ArrowsfisherKing wrote:have some other sets of yours...the electraX one, def. pretty amazing, and the arrows demos sound...even more amazing. am holding my breath (while i wait)...Sampleconstruct wrote:Thanks.fisherKing wrote:fisherKing wrote:cool.
and just pre-ordered 'arrows'

Simon, I really like the sounds you're coming up with for AcrSyn! And I'd consider buying the patchset, if you could change the butt-ugly names of the patches to suit my tastes! Staring at those hideous names hurts my eyes! (at least I didn't say they gave me eye cancer!)
But seriously, good stuff!

*Do you also consider patch names like ƒ‚@∆∂ºƒª Pad or grmmpff‚∂ƒ∆ºª∂∑}{º Abyss to be insulting the intelligent customer and would you not prefer patch names like Slick City Bass and Niagara Lead to be more appropriate?
Then let me know the results of that poll and I will consider changing some of the names.

I find descriptive names to be so... "80s"!
As long as all the patches have scientific flower names, I'll drop the poll (once it has served my purposes)! And no, it's not extortion - I'm actually helping and supporting your dream and vision!
By the way, did you mention how many patches you were considering for this (first) ArcSyn bank? If you did, I missed it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Well, I also use descriptive names - especially when there is no tagging system in a synth and not all users read the detailed patchlists I enclose in the PDFs for each soundset, but many patches require more creative names.SciFiArtMan wrote:I find descriptive names to be so... "80s"!

My target is 100+ patches plus some variations.

FR: please expose the current preset to the daw. Right now arcsyn lives in its own little world and this causes problems. It's fine if it doesn't use fxb, but when loading a new preset the daw should know. The daw should be able to change preset.
