Hi folks,
I've just finished a recording and would like to master it. I'm novice when it comes to this and used to just drop final mix into the main mix and go through the presets until I found one I was happy with. Has final mix now vanished off the face of the earth? And if so is there any free alternative?
Whatever happened to Final Mix?

Thanks for refreshing my memory whyterabbyt. I see Master Mix is on offer at $40 so I'm considering it. Still not as good as free though!

Yes, they are having an Easter weekend sale on upgrades , MasterMix , Biotek , etc etc ..... $40 is a good deal for MasterMix IMHO ..... I never used FinalMix except for its presets back in the old Mackie Tracktion days , it was to busy a plugin for me but I loved the presets to make a track sound finished , TSC tried to mimick the presets from FinalMix to MasterMix , they did an excellent job . Well worth it for $40 ....

Well I caved in and bought the T7 Ultimate Bundle and I can't get the Master Mix installer to open. It's just a blank icon instead of a zip one. Grrrr!

There isn't an installer as such for Windows. You extract the inner folder (TSC-Master-Mix-Win) and it contains these files, some of which you copy or move to somewhere relevant, as described in the Plugin Installation.rtf file, and as per your requirements.

Mine is 'Tracktion-MasterMix-Win-latest'. It doesn't say zip but when I click on properties it shows that it is. When I click to open it it says 'application not found'.

I've just nailed it. Yesterday my PC picked up some nasties when I was trying to download an old Final Mix and I think it messed up my zip extractor, Winrar. Seems like an odd problem, but reinstalling Winrar has allowed me to open Master Mix.
