MXXX/MUnison Overload in 9.21 - (most probably not a bug)

I'm getting a loud thump and total overload when using MUnison in MXXX and setting the treshold to anything but Silence, as soon as the tredhold is reached, BAM. Anybody else?

Nope, all OK here - did you have any special setting or Presets?

It was a combo with MMorph sidechainig things, it's always reproducible here, I'll investigate further.

Post the problem Preset (or email it) so that Vojtech can have a look.

PS Your sounds experiments are inspiring me to try harder. :)

I also experienced two bugs when I tried the new awesome MUnison plugin (don't remember which version, 9.19?):

- Buffer size / FFT size is not set correctly: It is always the value before set, instead the current. So if I set to 1024 and before was 2048, the current buffer size will be 2048. After reload the song, the buffer size will be 1024. Checked with DAW's PDC report.

- On low buffer size like 1024 or less, the sound seems to be wrong or distorted, sometimes even clicking. That doesn't happen with every base sound, I think it was more a smooth sound.

Vojtech couldn't repro this after I sent him the preset, so it was probably related to my audio input sources, Vojtech also said the treshold function in MUnison is designed to be used with acoustic instruments, my sources were loud, strange and distorted electronic ones, I shall observe this, issue closed for now.

Can you send my bug to Vojtech, too? Thanks.

He is reading this forum, so I assume he'll reply sooner or later.

The second one isn't a bug of course, it's just the physics. After all, why do you think there is a need for a buffer anyway? ;)
As for the first one - I just checked in Reaper and FL and found no problems. What host and os are you using?
Vojtech
MeldaProduction MSoundFactory MDrummer MCompleteBundle The best plugins in the world :D

Hi :) Yes you are right, it's a bug in Renoise. The plugin buffer size will be only updated while playing song. I think that is the reason, why it sometimes crackled on low buffer sizes, since the plugin already uses another buffer size than the DAW is calculating with. :clown:
