Have finally got round to having a play with Vokator from the komplete bundle - but can I get it do do anything other than make the occasional terrifying burst of sound for no apparent reason can I ??!***
No matter what I do all I can hear is my unprocessed voice.
I've 'plugged' my mic into one track with Vokator. Plugged the midi kbd into another track with Absynth as the VST and routed the absynth track to the Vokator track. No amount of fiddling seems to produce any effect and the manual though comprehensively explaining every detail of the Vokator, fails to explain how to use it.
So any help would be much appreciated..
Thanks
Pete

Try putting both your input (with a mic or guitar or whatever) and your midi input on NI Vokator. Than select the Vokator A section as "Live input" and the B section as "synth".....throw down some midi data and than modulate it with your input. Have fun.
p.s. There is proably some more effiecient ways of using Vokator with Racks but I dont have time to open up Tracktion and play around.

Thanks Aleatoric - I'll give it a whirl later.
I did come across this in the forum (below) but couldn't make sense of it (sorry to the author, but I can't remember where I found it so don't know who to attribute it to)
Thanks again
Pete
Looking at the T-Mixer setup solved the mystery for me In case somebody has
no clue how to do it:
1) make a rack with a vocoder that supports erxternal carrier signal. let's
say you have input 1 (analyse signal) and input 2 (carrier signal).
2) drag the rack to 2 tracks, one for the analyse signal, in my case the
acapella vocal, and one for the carrier signal, a synth or something.
3) now select the vocoder rack on the analyse track and change the left and
right input to go to input 1 of the vocoder rack.
4) select the vocoder rack on the carrier track and change the left and
right input to go to input 2 of the vocoder track.
