no, make the rest of the gui match the logo. i'm sick of cheap looking gui's that look like a 5 year old made it.liqih wrote:Thanks for the feedabck, so you think a plain logo would look better? Having pop-up numeric indicators on tuning knobs
and others likely to be used with significant ranges,
would be nice, and have it offset from the knob a bit,
so the numeric display didn't obscure the mouse-pointer.
Or maybe a few knobs could be large enough for the
number to be drawn in the center of the knob.
Knowing the number where unwanted things start happening,
is a real plus. Zebra and other U-he products have some of this.
much appreciated.
Very nice way to introduce and ramp up a new product!
Look forward to testing.
Cheers

Having played around with Sinnah over an hour, I'm totally hooked on her character. Sinnah is a 'she', isn't she?
In fact, her character reveals her parentage. She is very alive and expressive, acting pretty much like Modelonia 2: slightly quirky, prone to minute (or not-so-minute) spontaneous aberrations, definitely not your run-of-the-mill VA. In other words, I love her.
I look forward to a build with the MW active and with a semitone setting for the PB.
I also agree with Layzer: make the GUI similar to the hazy logo, not the other way around! Sinnah would like a sensual dress; she told me last night.
Exciting times ahead, following her through adolescence!
Kind regards,
Joachim

Good idea, an attack transients layer would expand the sound possibilites a lot.layzer wrote:i like the unique sustained sounds generated by the delay matrix. perhaps add another oscillator with short, high definition attack transients
of different acustic and tuned percussive instruments? like a wine glass struck with a fork? just an idea.
There is already a display on many knobs in the middle of them, glokraw wrote:Having pop-up numeric indicators on tuning knobs

doesn't it show up when you mouseover? Or is it too small?

mm... never thought of that, but you could be right.Spitfire31 wrote:Having played around with Sinnah over an hour, I'm totally hooked on her character. Sinnah is a 'she', isn't she?
Thanks for nice words. There was indeed the plan to give her a unique character. In fact, her character reveals her parentage. Right, those should be in the next update.I look forward to a build with the MW active and with a semitone setting for the PB.
Well a hazy GUI could be fun but not easy to read. Also not easy to do with the vector drawn GUI as it is nowI also agree with Layzer: make the GUI similar to the hazy logo, not the other way around! Sinnah would like a sensual dress; she told me last night.
to make it zoomable. Anyway as much as the GUI is "good enough" for the majority the priority will go into the sound features.
Yes!Exciting times ahead, following her through adolescence!

That would be awesome!liqih wrote:stanlea wrote:While you are at work, I'd add a feature :
# Linux build
please
We are thinking about that (with Bernie), but the hard step is to start on a new platform, we''ll see
Could Juce be used for that? https://www.juce.com/
btw, I tried to run Sinnah with wine but the interface is very glitchy.

Thanks liqih!
I am happy to see a new synth from you!
tested,I like it
Nice UI and sounds really interesting and different from the stuff out there.
surely a resonant HP/LP filter on it would be nice
congratulations on the release

Juce could do of course, but that would mean for us to buy the expensive license AND to rewrite all GUI code.rghvdberg wrote:That would be awesome!liqih wrote:stanlea wrote:While you are at work, I'd add a feature :

About wine I guess we should turn off some GUI features, like the oscilloscope, to make it light enough to run under wine.

I'll vote for a drawable waveshape. An arpeggiator can be nice too.liqih wrote: To everybody, here is the updated:
