the m/s : l/r channel discussion

In another thread, the question of assigning channel processing came up, and upon further review, I discovered I could indeed choose between ms or lr for the individual band settings. Didn't know/notice that before. BUT the choice is totally DEPENDANT upon the overall plugin setting chosen from the right side master panel. Play with it, and you will see what I mean...hth...i'm a big ms user myownself.../s~

Does this apply only to bands in multiband plugins, or is this an option for EQ bands as well? Currently if I need to do mid-side EQing with separate bands for mid and side, I use either Acon Equalize or bx_Digital v3. It would be nice to use MAutoDynamicEQ instead. I just haven't kept up with all the new features.

We are actually talking about EQ, not multiband.
If you put the plugin in M + S mode. Each individual eq band can be mid, side or both. Just right click on the node to find the option.

...just to be clear about the necessary settings...
1/if the main panel = "L+R" : all individual band options = "Left Left+Right Right"
2/if the main panel = "M+S" : all individual band options = "Mid Mid+Side Side"
3/while any individual band's options panel is open/displayed, any changes in the main options panel will NOT BE reflected/updated in the individual band's options panel until that individual band's options panel is CLOSED and REOPENED...
...some caution required...hth...

AH, see this is one of those things I should have known was there.
Anyone know the reason the bands set to "side" don't affect the graph, but bands set to "mid" or "mid+side" do? Example below, band 1 is mid only, bands 2-3 are side only.
