Time signature changes lost when importing older archive files to T7

I have just updated from T2 to T7. Yes, it has been a while, but T2 works wonderfully, but I thought it was about time. Apart from the issue with many plugins needing re-registration, I have noted that when I import an archive from T2, any changes in time signatures and/or tempo are lost.

I know I am pressing things by expecting that new software should be compatible with 10 year's old software. After all it is just software, which to various degrees is subject to some degree of planned obsolescence. In contrast with, say, a real musical instrument. I am actually thrilled that so much information is transferred flawlessly!

But has anybody had similar experiences? I was wondering whether I could install T4 (I actually bought it on sale once, but never installed it as T2 was doing it for me)? Then perhaps T4 would be compatible with T2 in this dimension? And then an archive from T4 would be compatible with T7. Just saying that I could perhaps recreate the passage of time by installing T4 as a stepping stone between T2 and T7?
