No no no, man. People make generic experimental minimalism with it. It's a true modular that never was properly exploited. They make hippy dippy noise effects like musique concrete with it and in Reason it's for tangible music dudes with clock divider's and multiple breakpoint envelopes logic gates, counters. The possibilities of putting those things even with just kong are TOTALLY incredible. In kyma they just do silly things like voices only. And in max it's pure abstract too. You know why? Because most people don't want the ultimate multi switching bach concerto that operates with logic gates and all the math functions that works with.. you know they may attempt concerto's that are computerized with Kyma but Kyma has no extensions or drum machines or really cool add on's. That's all for now. Wendy Carlos is awesome.. well most of it isn't. It's Wendy Carlos people and Subotnick lovers etc doing the Kyma. You know you could make an endless variety loop with math function that has hipper sounds at least in Reason.

the Kyma is as deep as you want to dig in. Yes there isn't any preset library that will get you off to doing modern music, but it is fully capable as a tool for that.... In fact, I have used it to create several Reason ReFills

Ok, I'm very confused.
At any rate, make sure that it's not moved instead of deleted. As time goes on there are more and more sub-forums.
Personally I have not seen all these "deleted" topics. Not saying it didn't happen. Seems to be quite a bit of controversy, so it's not like the sonar forums
Boredom is the curse from hell at a forum though when it's a dedicated place and there is virtually nothing going on
(same with reaper, studio one, etc)

as someone has already pointed out, you can use the patcher in FL STudio, it's amazing and another feature that is little explored or known about esp. the novice. it is very powerful..
i am sure reason is ok with all the new extensions no argument. but the point that it just sounds lame and thin i agree with 100%. there are far more flexible modular setups around ( the sugarbytes stuff is a lot to explore, esp obscurium which is awesome as it also acts as a vst host for any other 3rd part plugs.
and this really is the corner propellerheads have painted themselves into. a purely recalcitrant attitude to developing with vst plugs in mind lost them a tonne of customers over that last few years? i mean can anyone tell me why they chose this course> i had a peak recently and , apart from still no attempt to re build the gui so it isn't stuck inside that inflexible box. and the add ons are super expensive in comparison with most other plugs. i bought reaper for like £60. so with stuff like that, why would anyone choose the anemic ( and imho archaic) reason?

Sorry, but do not agree. I've owned nearly every host and I don't have any "sound" issues with reason at all.
PDC? Yep, can be a big problem depending. SSL (their mock) sometime I use it, sometimes not. Amp sims? Pretty lame (and gets to be too demanding like many other host options, I go with a GT 100 currently, can't swing a kemper/axefx, good enough for me)
Oddly in comparison to what you are saying, I feel my mixes are better than ever in reason
