BR : Keyboard shortcuts

Hi TSC team !
I'm on MacBook Pro 15", OSX 10.9.5 (mavericks), T7 v7.0.26
In the "basic" version (the "default one"), the "/" (splitting the clip at cursor) is blank (not programmed in the Keyboard Shortcuts - strange, no ?).
Nevertheless, I enter it manually, I save it and I make an Edit Template (in case of).
--> it is fully functional till T7 is running.
Then I close T7.
When I reopen T7 (or the recently T7 edit template), the "/" is blank. So in the setting tab, I go to the Keyboard Shortcuts and I load the saved one. ==> Nothing happens !
(I have the saved file where I put it, I open it, but nothing happens in the Keyboard Shortcuts...)
===> In order to have my "/" operating again, I have to memorize it again manually. Still operating up to T7 is running. When I close T7, and reopen it, no more operating...
Is this a bug or I'm doing something wrong ?
Thanks in advance,
Lutin mutin.

Hi dRowAudio !
Yes, I have a french "azerty" keyboard, but because I use my MacBook as a desktop machine, I never use the macbook keyboard. I am always on the wired-apple-"azerty"-keyboard, and I use the "/" on the numeric pad of the wired keyboard.
And I use the english version software of T7.
Why I can't use the save and load "keyboard shortcuts" files ? because of the english T7 soft ?
I have to install the french version of T7 ?
Any other solution ?
Regards,
Lutin mutin

You have to go into the keyboard shortcuts and remap any non english standard keys. I had to do the same for my german keyboard. The load feature is only used for your own saved configurations. Somehow Tracktion keys are hardwired to key positions and not the actual char sent.
You can give my configuration a try, but i remapped a ton of things and it differs a lot from any documentation. There is a PDF inside, so you can have a look before importing if you like it or not.

Thanks Nitex...
But...
==> to the TSC team :
I have loaded the french version of T7... and... I have exactly the same "keyboard shortcuts" problems than with the english software version (previously explained)...
I have used a lot T1 to T3 and I have not had this problem in those "times"...
I have to do the same long remaping process explained by nitex with his german T7 ?
Any other solution or an original T7 bug in the mac version ?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Lutin mutin.

With my french keyboard, when I type the letter "A", T7 asks me if I want to import an audio or a midi file... in this case and in a lot of other cases, T7 is not confused with the "AZERTY" nor "QWERTY" keyboard...
Just for information...
So my question again : what happens with the "keyboard shortcuts" ?... with the same problems in the english or french T7 software versions... a bug ? or...

As far as I know the only affected key is the slash key "/". This is because on some foreign keyboards this key is obtained by a modifier (e.g. "shift+/". If you simply remap the shortcut to whatever the key press is on your physical keyboard it should work?

Move to the next marker =
Show or hide the inputs, filters and controls ctrl + `
Split selected clips at cursor /
Mute selected clips shift + _
Pitch up 1 semitone ctrl + =
Pitch up 1 octave ctrl + shift + =
Solo selected tracks alt + =
Reset all level meter overload indicators \
Jump to the mark-in point [
Jump to the mark-out point ]
Insert a rest when in MIDI step-entry mode `
Toggle auto display of MIDI toolbar '
Just from a quick test those have to be remapped for german. Might've missed one maybe.

--> To nitex
Thank you very much for your help nitex, but my problem, I think, is much more "perverse" than that... because the "save keyboard shortcuts" and the "load keyboard shortcuts" are totally inefficient in my case... I can remap what I want, but I can't memorize my personal remapping...
--> to dRowAudio
As I explained, when I do the "/" manually, there is no problem at all, but I cannot, let say, "memorize" this shortcut in T7 (english or french software versions). If I close T7, the shortcut disappears : normal. BUT... as I explained before to nitex, I cannot save and load the manually memorized shortcuts...
And is the reason I was asking if there is a bug, or is a personal problem here in my machine or in a bad workflow I have doing the process...
Details... I open T7. The "/" shortcut is not operating. So I go to the settings tab then to the "keyboard shortcuts" tab...
1. I remap the "/" in order to be able to split a clip (When done, till T7 is running, "/" is functioning correctly) ;
2. I press the "save keyboard shortcuts" key at the bottom of the screen, and in the new window opened, I name the saved file and I specify the destination of the file on my HD ;
3. I go to the edit page, in order to verify that my remap is ok. It is the case ;
4. I close T7 ;
5. I reopen T7. I go to the edit page, and I verify that the "/" shortcut is functional : it is not the case. No problem ;
6. I go to the settings page and to the "keyboard shortcuts" page ;
7. in the bottom of the "keyboard shortcuts" page, I press the "load Keyboard shortcuts" button. A window opens, and asks me where is my file. I go to the file place, I select it and I press ok ;
8. ==> nothing happens !! in the Edit section of the "keyboard shortcuts" page, The "split clip" line is blank, and the "/" is not mapped... If I want it, I have to manually remap it...
Is the reason why I ask to you if it is a personal problem here with my machine, or if it is a bug where the "save" and "load" buttons in the "keyboard shortcuts" page are not operating correctly...
Thank you in advance for the interest you have in a so small problem I have with the personal shortcuts.
Best regards,
Lutin mutin.
