Receptor trio, how to install unsupported plug-ins?

Hi there.
Before I posted this, I looked at
https://www.plugorama.com/kb.php?id=354
but this didn't help. On my trios setup tab, I don't see anything called "install", nor anything called "add unsupported plug-ins folder". I am using the latest software version, where can that be on this particular machine?
Thanks for your help,
Best,
JPR

Use the muse vnc viewer to open the trio hardrive, drag the installation files into the install folder, open the receptor viewer ,go to the software manager in setup, and look for the install new files button. It always depends on the software as to whether or not it will install correctly.

Dear Nathan.
Thanks for this but all I have is a DLL. The plug-in in question is Pianoteq 5.
I do have a .EXE but was advised not to use it by the developper, and that a DLL would work fine.
What I don't understand is that the instructions on Muse web site don't match what I see on my machine.
Kind regards,
JPR

I installed Pianteq 5 stage recently from the exe file without issue. If you would prefer not to do that you could drag the dll to the folder with the other software files on the receptor and then run the scan for new plugins in the software manager.

Generally it is best to install from a .exe or .rpm file if available. If you are trying to install from a .dll in Rack mode go to SETUP>SOFTWARE MANAGER and in the plugins tab click "Scan for new Plugins". The will do a scan of your HD for any new .dll plugins. You can also do "Validate Ignored" to look for it if it does not show up in scan for new.

Best,
Nick
