Will Uniwire work in an exclusively 64bit platform like Logic X?
If yes, how?
If no, are there plans in the works for something similar to offload the processor-intensive heavy lifting that Uniwire is know for?
Uniwire 64bit?

No it won't. I'm having a hard time finding a 32 bit wrapper. Shame. Muse has directly said they will not upgrade to 64 bit.
The Vienna Ensemble Pro works nicely, and it works cross-platform. Use a laptop to replace the Receptor. RIP little receptor. It was fun while it lasted.

Vienna Ensemble Pro can work with both 32 and 64 bit plugins, according to its specs. I wonder if using 32 bit Uniwire on a slave within this networked environment is workable?

No. Just tried. Fail again. I have a current and legally licensed copy of VE on dual computers, and just tried (as I'm desperately trying to find a way to keep using these dinosaurs).
First of all it defeats the purpose. Second you can not send and receive PC and CC changes. This means if you use a pitchbend for synths. Won't work. Sustain pedal for piano. Won't work. Mod wheel to change articulations on strings. Nope.
That bug could have easily been fixed, but Muse has no intention of updating unwire. Good suggestion though.
