i have noticed when i updated to t 7.1 ,when i opened an instance of biotek i had to re register it. also, when dragging the gui around it seemss like it is jitterty, like when snap to grid is on and you move tracks around. any one else notice this?

What OS are you on? If you click the "Global" button, is the "Open GL" option lit up i.e. 'on'?

i am on windows 10 . i'm at work right now, but will check when i get home. thanks!

no it is not lit up. what do i need to do?

Try turning it on and then closing and re-opening the UI. This will enable OpenGL which improves graphics performance with a lot of hardware.

i tried it. it is now a black space like before. i tried to update my video driver. i am using a amd radeon 6550 , but i can't seem to find an updated driver. maybe i need to buy a new video card?

Ok, it sounds like there is a compatibility problem between the use of OpenGL and your specific graphics card/driver.
Thanks for the model number, we'll see if we can track one down for testing.
In you case, you'll need to disable OpenGL in BioTek as you did before.
To reduce the graphics load you can reduce the animation amount, also under the "Global" settings listed as "Ring Display". Try putting this on "Eco" or "Low" and see if it reduces the amount of jitter.
