Something will be happening during Musikmesse. I'll PM you the details.jc_vt wrote:Is that any predictable pattern to Tone2 discounts on an annual basis? I failed to act on the 2-for-1 offer in December (or was that JRR?) and hoping to find something like that again if I am willing to wait.

After having checked out 21k(!) snare and bass drum sounds, I doubt I would still want to use drums in my music at allpheeleep wrote:Zero-G TOTAL SNARE DRUMS and TOTAL BASS DRUMS 24 hour sale. Pretty sure this is the first time these are on sale. I have been eye balling them for a while..

Still, 10000 bass drum beats played at 130 BPM would only last about 77 minutes before all have been used

I'd like to know the details too. I have almost all the synths from Tone2 and if there's a sale for their upcoming one, that would be great.Uncle E wrote:Something will be happening during Musikmesse. Actually I bought these a few months ago on sale for the Octatrack and they are a surprisingly really good collection of BD and SN'sfluffy_little_something wrote:After having checked out 21k(!) snare and bass drum sounds, I doubt I would still want to use drums in my music at allpheeleep wrote:Zero-G TOTAL SNARE DRUMS and TOTAL BASS DRUMS 24 hour sale. If a person has Komplete 10 Ultimate, does one really need SampleTank 3? I know it's free with a piece of hardware, but I don't really need pads nor a cheaper keyboard (I need one with After-Touch), so I'm wondering if I even need to concern myself with this deal. Can't sell it once the sale is over, so it would just be another piece of software that might rot in my collection.
Don't mean to poo-poo the deal, and it is great for someone that needs it; I just don't know if I do.

IK had made a big deal about the processing and effects in SampleTank 3, claiming that external EQ'ing, compression, etc. weren't necessary because the sounds are already mix ready. The Komplete 10 Ultimate sounds also have a lot of processing and effects so I think it comes down to who you think does it better.Blue Phase Music wrote:If a person has Komplete 10 Ultimate, does one really need SampleTank 3? Thanks. I guess I'll need to think about it. It won't happen if I can't earn enough for another software subscription I have by the end of the promotion, though.

If you sell your unit, the new owner can't register it his account because the license of Sampletank 3 is locked to the unit serial number.Uncle E wrote:IK had made a big deal about the processing and effects in SampleTank 3, claiming that external EQ'ing, compression, etc. weren't necessary because the sounds are already mix ready. FWIW, we are selling the iRig Pads for $99. Maybe you could buy it, get SampleTank 3, and then sell it used for not much less? Does the promotion allow for that or does all of it, including the hardware, become unsellable?

There are lots of great Kick drums (haven't checked out the snares yet) but a lot of the bass drum wav files have clicks at the end. Did you notice this? I emailed Zero-G today to ask them about this. When I preview them I hear a click at the end. When I load them in an editor, I see the click at the end. Seems like these were kind of sloppily "auto-chopped" as so many of the samples have clicks at the end. Now don't get me wrong I don't really mind removing the clicks for the samples that I will use (after all every 10 presets cost me 1 cent) but it's a bit sloppy and I am surprised seeing this from Zero-G who are usually top notch. Anyway, let's see what they have to say about this. I didn't try the Kontakt patches but since they load the same samples, they must also be full of clicks (?)Astralp wrote:Actually I bought these a few months ago on sale for the Octatrack and they are a surprisingly really good collection of BD and SN'sfluffy_little_something wrote:After having checked out 21k(!) snare and bass drum sounds, I doubt I would still want to use drums in my music at allpheeleep wrote:Zero-G TOTAL SNARE DRUMS and TOTAL BASS DRUMS 24 hour sale. -EDIT- Issue since fixed by Zero-G. Just re-download the files. I haven't checked them out yet but I did receive an email indicating that the issue has been fixed and that the files should be re-downloaded (for Bass Drum).
