Hi all.
Clicking "about" on my receptor trio displays version 1.2.
Under "setup", OS2.3 is shown.
The backup tool is present under"support tools/utilities", but my receptor does not see my external hard drive which is formatted as XFAT and connected to one of the rear USB connectors.
What's wrong? Can someone please give me a quick solution as I'm going on tour with it and would really like to have my data in a safe place.
Networking to my PC would take days…

I wouldnt trust the Receptors internal backup system .i have used it with no probs but there have been a few rapports here on the forum about it failing. There has been allot writen on this forum about backing up the receptor.I recomend you do a search under ny name Andym63 or backup.
i would recomend that you make a backup using the receptors internal backup system if you can ,but also make a clone using Unetbootin .(read how to on forum) if you are not so good with computers most good computer geeks knowe how to make a backup get someone to help you.If your drive crashes or something goes pair shaped you will be very happy that you did.

Unetbootin ? Wow! This is really technical.
And also, I imagine it requires removing the hard drive from the receptor and hooking it to my computer using some kind of USB adapter right?
Back to receptor's internal backup feature, which would be better than nothing if I could use it, does anyone know why my external drive does not show up in this mode? Is it simply that this feature is not supported by this model? (Receptor trio version 1.2 with OS 2.3).

Unetbootin is apparently a Linux thing. Can someone recommend me a cloner that works under windows?
