...I would much rather spend my time creating/mixing than futzing with all the output "standards"...I just signed the petition, "Music Streaming Services: Bring Peace to the Loudness War." I think this is important. Will you sign it too? Here's the link:

Well, maybe I should spend more time on this, but... why is their goal to just have 4 LU of dynamic range??

I like to work against the loudness war, of course! I alos hate so much loudness differences, but I think it's unfair for films on YouTube or Vimeo maybe. Some films just need more dynamic range. It would be bad, if they would be compressed by the services. :(

...my reading of the "whole" situation is looking at it from end "listener's" point of view...constancy has a very high end user experience satisfaction value...the "standards" and the "tools" are evolving...i'm just trying to keep up.../s~

Sure this may be good. I am just saying ... ;)

In the end a standard for loudness would be great, indeed. I am not questioning this.

I see this as a good initiative - to compete on loudness only have losers, both on records, streaming, video etc.
