How can I use "Synthmaster 2.7 effect" in Logic?

Hi all,
When opening this effect in Logic for a track with a drum loop I get no sound at all when I run it.
Which settings do I need to seek up in order to get it to work?
I think I read something somewhere about having to change an oscillator input and redirecting to a specific CC #. I haven't figured that out and I have no idea how to proceed.
Can it be used for pre-recorded tracks at all?

Don't know that plugin, but I guess you have to load it into an instrument slot as and set its sidechain to the audio track you want to feed in. Or the aux channel, that is fed by the audio track.

Here are two threads regarding how to use Synthmaster effects. The first link is specific to Logic. I couldn't get it working in my DAW either and I haven't yet tried again even after the posts below. One of these days I'll try again.

I tried this recently and found that you had to click 'New' (next to 'Save' and 'Save As'). This resets the preset to a simple default which lets the audio through, I guess.
