Poor filters? (edit:proven wrong, they are very big and 'in the face', just maybe not that smooth)

mccy wrote:btw. how would I easily morph between the resulting EQ curve & 0 db gain?
Or, if there are other differences:
Set up the preset in both the [A] and [B} preset slots. Select and make the desired changes. Then use the ABCD Morpher to morph between [A] and .

To avoid inadvertent changes from vertical mouse movement, copy [A] into [C] and {B] into [D].

At least, that's what I do.

yeah... man, am I slow...

but soundwise it doesn't really work... of course doesnt sound like the source.

would be nice to load that in autoeq saved curves in the freeform eq

cool Tips! This is nice way learning here! Thanks for your knowledge!

abcd morphing does not work in freeform EQ :-(?

Confirmed, looks like a bug to me

Edit:
No it's not - Morphing does work for the sliders and the first 5 points that are drawn in (they are the plug-in parameters declared to the host) but not for the freehand drawing

No need for ABCD morphing. It will only use the dry/wet to interpolate anyway. Best to load freeform EQ and use your target source with pink noise as you previously described. Freeform will give you a much more accurate representation rather than trying to use a few bands to approximate. Then use the range parameter to morph between 0db.
However the most accurate way would be an impulse response. Open MConvolution, then the waves plugin, then another convolution after it.
In the first one set it to test tone (in advanced settings)
In the last one set it to record (adv settings)
You now have an IR of the waves plugin, remember to use convolution with 100% wet.
The problem with this is that there is no way to morph between this and 0db as you described. So you could take lots of IRs at various intermittent values and use banks to switch between. Unfortunately you will end up with stepped values, but if you can live with that you will have a perfect emulation of the plugin. Try it and do a blind test, I bet you will not tell them apart.

I'm like a child with eyes open wide looking at my toys and learning. I never had the money to afford such highend-tools & now everything seems to be possible with the melda bundle! Great! Thank you!
