Hi Vojtech,

could MPowerSynth please ignore Midi input and host automation for the undo feature? Currently also multiparameter movements that were made through midi data are recognized as undo steps, which doesn't make a lot of sense I think. Normally you only want to undo actions that are done by mouse in the GUI. E.g. I program a midi sequence playing some chords and some controller data for a filter sweep or stuff like that, and then I want to fine tune resonance while playing back the sequence. Now undo basically does not work because it is flooded with the midi controller data all taken as undo steps.

Cheers, Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

aaaaha, hmmm, I'll check, I don't promise anything though. Now when I think about it, I'm not sure if it's a good idea - e.g. if you tend to use a MIDI controller to work with the settings (many people do), the undo actually makes sense...

I agree with Vojtech there certainly may be cases where the present solution is the right one, I think we'd be fine as long as any changes are optional.

Yes but you can record the midi controller movements in your DAW without problem, no need to store that in the MPS undo buffer.

Yes, but sadly the plugin cannot really recognize a difference... Well, I don't know really...
