Wow some great tracks already! Fantastic to have Jasinski back in the game too.

I'm swamped with work right now.. I don't think I'm going to have time to participate this month :( .. typical... when it's a windows only synth I have time, and when it's mac compatible I don't... (I'm on a mac obviously)..

Is it possible to vote even if I don't have an entry song?

Freezing tracks are ok, but no manipulating afterword
What if I sample a note and use the sequencer for rhythm only? Is pitching a sample not allowed?

Sure you can vote - you have the necessary 40+ forum posts :tu:

Don't think I will have time either this month, :( but will be voting.

Pretty much the only allowed use of sampling is to freeze whole tracks for CPU saving. Sampling a single note and repeating for kick or note consistency is not allowed, repitching the audio or any other manipulation is not allowed either.

A difference, when I freeze whole track or a single kick? A comfort. A comfort is not allowed, right? I don't understand that...

I think the rule has sense mostly for synths that have free running oscillators or pitch drift features that you can't disable.
So in those cases each kick repetition would sound different and if you sample the kick it would mean that you will avoid to deal with the synth characteristics.
With Sinnah if you don't use the modulations in the delay matrix or the ADSR2wave features, a repeating short sound will sound always the same, hence sampling it and repeating the sample should not be different. But that rule is there for all synths to be sure that your entry will not avoid the lively characteristics the synth may have.

Thanks for clearing up that rule.

But it does seem somewhat ridiculous? We have all the other features of a music studio in our DAWs (eq compressors delays etc) yet the sampler is banished!

Also modulating FX banished, chorus, pitchers, granulizers, vocoders etc. are banished.

Sampler is another instrument, so it technically breaks the one synth production idea.

You can use infinite delay feedback for the produced kick repetition. Then just automate the channel volume. If you doing not a 4x4 beat then it will be more tricky but manageble the same infinite delay few other ways.

Get creative.

That would get you arrested on charges of Intent to Sample A Sound :hihi:

Latest Sinnah produces pops and clicks when release value of ADSR is set to 0. Only tried it on short notes btw.
Simple solution is to set the R to above 0 :p
Took me a while to figure out where these artifacts came from, at first I thought my audio framework (jackd) ,was choking on this plugin.

Tried Windows 10 Reaper 64 bit and Linux (various DAWS and VST Hosts) 32 bit.

A bit off topic:
The 64 bit version on linux , using wine , complains about not being able to load gdiplus.dll. But I can't find a 64 bit version of it anywhere.
32 bit works fine though :-)

the same thing with clicks with older versions. Because it's a straight line down with 0 release.

Ok, thanks for the reply. Strange I didn't notice it before.

Can someone give me some pointers how to effectively use the delay matrix. I only get sorta chorus out of it.

It's like a comb filter with adjustable feedback. In some ways it simulates a simple reverberator. If you add modulation it somewhat diffuses the echos.

Sinnah is one wild beast.

Miraculous and Maddening
Just because it's insane doesn't mean it's a bad idea.
